In the golden autumn of September, with the refreshing autumn breeze and the sweet fragrance of osmanthus, Jinghe Plywood Workshop held the third skills competition of the workshop on September 5th and 6th, 2023, with the theme of "Cultivating Craftsmanship through Competition and Uniting Efforts to Create Excellence".

In recent years, a highly skilled and high-quality workforce has become the foundation for the innovation and development of the workshop. The workshop implements the new requirements for the construction of the Jinghe craftsman team proposed by the senior leaders at the company's mid-year meeting in 2023, vigorously promotes the Jinghe craftsman spirit, and advances the five-in-one vocational skills development model of "training, practice, competition, promotion and motivation". This comprehensive technical competition is a test of the achievements in cultivating professional skills talents in the workshop, and it also provides a good platform for the "steel roses" in the plywood workshop to showcase their own charm. At the same time, we hope to leverage the influence of this technical competition to exchange and promote experiences and practices in cultivating skilled talents, promote the workshop to improve the vocational skills competition system for watch parts processing, achieve the goals of promoting learning, training, evaluation and construction through competition, unite our efforts and strive to create a first-class production workshop in Jinghe. To further contribute to the high-quality development of watch plate parts production and add luster to it.

Competition rules

This skills competition features three events: drill pressing, nail pressing and deburring. Nine contestants will participate in each event and the competition schedule lasts for two days. The competition items are each selected from the main clamping plate group, connecting plate group and small clamping plate group of the workshop, with one type of part selected. The number of competition parts is 500 per hour for pressing drills, 500 per hour for pressing nails and 300 per hour for deburring. To ensure fairness and impartiality, the participants need to complete one familiar part for their own team and two unfamiliar parts for other teams, and complete the three parts for different teams in three sections. The competition lasts for one hour for each stage, totaling three hours.

The competition products will be distributed by the referees. Only parts completed within one hour will be collected for each section. Parts that are not completed will not be included in the score calculation. Please indicate the time taken by each participating employee for each section. Submit all the parts to the referee in advance. One minute in advance will result in one point, which will be included in the final total score.

The referee designates personnel to inspect all the competition parts. One point is awarded for each qualified part, and the corresponding inspection report should be filled out. To ensure fairness and impartiality, the participating employees will be assigned numbers by the judges respectively. When inspecting the parts, only the numbers will be registered in the inspection reports, and the names of the participating employees will not appear.

The judges will calculate the total scores of the three types of parts corresponding to the contestants based on the registration numbers and scores in the inspection reports, as well as the comprehensive time scores, and then evaluate and award various prizes.

During the intense and fierce competition of this skills contest, the logistics staff organized the work meticulously and considerately, arranged it tightly and in an orderly manner. The referees are fair, impartial, conscientious and responsible. The inspectors worked overtime and spared no effort. The contestants were full of energy and lived up to expectations, presenting their best results and best appearance. At the competition site, the contestants showcased their skills and displayed their styles. From the pressure test to the direct confrontation, they fought three consecutive rounds. Every detail was handled calmly, and with high standards and strict requirements, they demonstrated outstanding skill levels.

This competition is extremely exciting. Not only have the number of participating events and participants reached new highs, but also new talents have emerged one after another, making it full of excitement. Many event records have been broken. If there were no such competitions in the world, the records you have set would be "world records".

Another significance of this competition lies in the fact that in the middle of the year, the company launched the strategy of "building a team of Jinghe craftsmen". Learning skills and becoming experts have been initiated in all departments. Against this backdrop, this workshop skills competition is more like a ignited spark, bound to spread like wildfire. The spirit of craftsmanship, which is to learn from each other, strive for excellence, and innovate and create, will surely take root, sprout, and grow in daily work. Just as the slogan of this competition goes, "Cultivate craftsmanship through competition, unite hearts and efforts to create excellence."

The plywood workshop is the largest workshop in the company. It is not about the number of people, but rather about a team with technical and skilled skills.
